How to Use the Events Module
With its highly useful calendar functionality, the events module is among those most commonly used. It displays events in a chronological list or in a calendar format. Each event includes a title field, description, and date. You can choose to display an image with the event and indicate the beginning and ending time of any event. You may also choose to allow your event to expire on a specified date, or to reoccur by a set number of days, weeks, months or years.
Logged in as your site's administrator, begin by loading an events module on one of your pages. In your administrative panel located above your web page, select "Events" in the module dropdown list. Select the pane into which you'd like your module placed, and then click on "Add."

This will load an events module on your page:

Add an Event
In the module menu, select "Add Event" and an "Event Settings" window will open. Enter a title for the event in the field provided. You can enter a Start Date/Time by clicking on the Calendar icon and selecting a date and time. You may do the same for the End Date/Time. Setting a Time Zone is optional. The time zone of the person adding the event will be entered by default. Other optional settings are: Importance, Category, Location, Notes and Image Settings.
Export an Event to Outlook
End users can export any events in your online calendar and import that data into their Outlook calendar. Begin by clicking on an event title. On the event details page, click on the "Export Event to Desktop Event" link. Save the file to your desktop and then open it. Click Save and Close and then click OK. Simple as that!
