Animated Tutorial: Enabling Pop-ups for Your Site
Enabling Pop-ups for My Site

To ensure that your web site's administrative tools will function properly within your browser, you will need to enable pop-ups for your site.  Below are text instructions for how to accomplish this.

Because it is the most commonly used browser, we'll begin with instructions on how to enable pop-ups in Internet Explorer:

Open an instance of Internet Explorer and navigate to Tools/Pop-up Blocker/Pop-up Blocker Settings:

Pop-up Blocker Settings

Type the domain name (e.g. www.mydomainname.com) in the "Address of website to allow" field and then click the "Add" button:

Pop-up Blocker Settings: Address of website to allow

After your web site's domain name appears in the "Allowed sites" field, click the "Close" button.

Pop-ups are now enabled for your site in Internet Explorer.

If you're a Firefox user, enable pop-ups for your site by navigating to Tools/Options:

Enabling pop-ups in Firefox

To the right of "Block pop-up windows," click on the "Exceptions" button.

Type the address of your web site's domain name in the "Address of web site:" field, and then click the "Allow" button.

Your web site domain name will appear in the allowed sites field.  Click the "Close" button and you're done!
